Bio
Mar-quetta Boddie is the Executive Director of the Summit County Continuum of Care which leads a coordinated system of care for the homeless throughout Summit County. She has worked on homeless issues for the last 7 years, beginning her career at Strategies to End Homelessness where she monitored the compliance and performance of all CoC funded projects. Boddie then returned to Akron as the Quality Assurance Manager at Akron Summit Community Action HUB. There, she worked with the substance-abuse hotline, collecting data around opiate abuse and the infant mortality crisis. Realizing that the need for safe and affordable housing was a common denominator for sustainability, she applied for a position with the City of Akron as the CoC Manager. Shortly after Boddie founded the Summit County CoC in 2018, thus creating a non-profit organization to oversee the local CoC. Boddie holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in accounting from the University of Cincinnati.
